In reality it seem's that these two pieces were meant to go together. The two biggest problems was that both of these had been built & painted previously. That made things a bit harder but still no real big problem. On the mummy the arms had to be cut off at the shoulders, elbows and hands. They then had to be reattached back into the proper position and that meant quite a bit of re-sculpting had to be done. On her, I first removed the Dracula hands with my dremal tool. Then re-worked the lower section of her dress as well as adding sleeves and an upper piece at the breast area. This was done using Aves two part putty. The mummys hands had to be re-worked to fit against her body and legs. I used a portion of the original hand, but also had to re-sculpt a few fingers on each hand to make it all come together. At this point the pieces were painted and I placed her into position. The mummy hands now lined up with the re-sculpted and re-attached arms. A little putty and bingo, arms and hands re-attached again....All the paints were mixed using acrylics. On her I just did up a color that was close to the scene in the film. On the mummy it was just a matter of an off white base coat, then several washes of different tan's, finished with a drybrushing............
I wish there was more room here to add all the photos of this project, but I'm sure you get the idea. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.........
This was a fun project and makes a great addition to my Hammer collection...................
