As a child I have very fond memories of watching old Fu Manchu movies with my Father. That was however as close as I ever got to the Hammer Monsters...I just was not interested in monsters that did not come in classic black & white and were not named  Karloff, Chaney, Lugosi or Strange. I held that philosophy for many years but I'm now a proud fan of both color & B/W monsters of our nightmares. So we've decided to add a tribute page to both the classic Universal and Hammer monsters showing posters & photos as well as some of the model kits we all cherish. It's quite interesting to see some of the connections. For example, the Nocturna Productions release of "Cursed", was taken directly from the movies poster and publicity shots. The model kit depicts Oliver Reeds "werewolf" holding his mother in his arms. In the film however this scene does not exist, as his mother dies during childbirth. This is an incredible kit and one of the best ever produced from Curse of the Werewolf.....In the hands of sculpters such as Hill, Yagher or Laudati, these monsters are given a brand new life and will surely live for many many years as we collectors rush to purchase them just as fast as their made. Because remember, you can never have too many Monsters On The Shelf !!!!!!!!!
